AWARD WINNERS!

Well where do I begin? It’s been a little over a year-and-a-half since the creation of RIOT A.C.T. the action creation team that was my brainchild, and I’m proud to say that we have WON AN AWARD!

Team member and Director Tyler Williams (www.eyeofthestormpictures.net) entered us in the ACTION ON FILM INTERNATIONAL FESTIVAL in Pasadena California. Three of our shorts were accepted – ANTE-UP, THIRST and THE BREAKOUT – and THE BREAKOUT won in the category of BEST MARTIAL ARTS SEQUENCE – SHORT. To see pictures go to gallery page.

I would like to thank TEAM RYOUKO (www.teamryouko.com) members Allen Keng and Ilan Rosenberg for their enormous contribution to the project, without them this would never have happened – congratulations guys on some incredible work and a well deserved win!

To all the RIOT A.C.T. members including new member at that time DL Macdonald I would like to say a huge THANK YOU for their belief in the team and the projects we have tackled.

RIOT A.C.T. has two projects currently in post production and two more that will be going to picture sometime this year. The RIOT A.C.T. web-site www.riotact.ca will be up and running sometime in September, so look for us there.

Apart from the team work Simon has had the pleasure of working with Soulpepper – As You like It, Canadian Stage – Misery, and Factory – Beyond Mozambique theatres.

Coming up in September Simon will be going to the TORONTO INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL (TIFF) to see his action work in director Warren Sonoda’s feature comedy COOPER’S CAMERA – www.cooperscamerathemovie.com, which has been selected for this years CANADA FIRST programme at TIFF.
